  Cream Cheese Frosting I am sucker for yummy cream cheese frosting. I love it! Don’t give me a thin glaze or a frosting with shortening in it. Blech. Cream cheese all the way! Cinnamon Rolls with cream cheese frosting – Yes, please. Banana Bars with cream cheese frosting – Yes, please. Graham crackers with cream cheese frosting – Yes, please. A spoon with cream cheese frosting – Yes, please! You get the idea. Cream Cheese Frosting Ingredients 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, room temperature 1/4 C butter, room temperature 1 t vanilla 2 C powdered sugar 1 T milk (if using for Cinnamon Rolls) Instructions In a bowl, cream together cream cheese & butter. Add vanilla and powdered sugar. Blend until smooth. If using frosting for cupcakes or bars, stop here and frost. If using frosting for cinnamon rolls, add milk and blend well.   Cinnamon Rolls (made with Mashed Potatoes) Cinnamon Rolls made with mashed potatoes? What? How? Yes, I was just as confused when my sister-in-law told me that was her secret ingredient. But WOW, they are so good and so fluffy. Be prepared to be amazed! We make these when we have leftover mashed potatoes from Sunday dinner. Why do I only make mashed potatoes on Sunday?? Guess it’s a family thing. The original recipe passed down from her family included raisins. But why, oh why, would you do that? Cinnamon Rolls Ingredients 2 C scalded milk ½ C butter 2 C mashed potatoes 2 pkg yeast ½ C warm water 2 eggs 1 C sugar 2 t salt 7 C flour ½ C butter 1 C brown sugar 2 T cinnamon Favorite frosting (mine is linked here) Instructions Dissolve yeast in warm water and let foam. Beat eggs, then add butter, sugar, salt, mashed potatoes, and milk. Add yeast and water mix. Stir in flour. Knead until well mixed. Raise until doubled, approximately 1 hour.
